    Russell Crowe 'replaces' Robert Downey, Jr. in 'A Star Is Born'

    London, Feb 08 : Russell Crowe is set to share the screen with Beyonce in the remake of classic movie 'A Star Is Born,' it has emerged.

    Earlier, Robert Downey, Jr. was pitted for the lead role, but the 'Gladiator' star has apparently replaced him.

    Seemingly, he will play an ageing, alcoholic musician who mentors and falls in love with a younger female star.

    Mad Men star Jon Hamm, Alicia Keys and Rihanna, may also feature in the film, reports the Daily Star.

    Judy Garland and James Mason in 1957 and Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976, starred in the previous two remakes of the 1930s dilm.
