New York, Feb 8 : As lovebirds in Big Apple gear up for fun-filled and romantic Valentine's Day bashes, the city is certainly not leaving behind lonely hearts and love haters.

For such people, New York is offering plenty of opportunities to party this weekend.

For those who want to get their groove on early, band Minq Vaadka is holding "Anti-Valentine's Masquerade" at Joe's Pub.

Poet Jonathan Ames is also hosting an anti-Valentine's party which will include poetry reading, reports New York Daily News.

The city is also hosting "New York's largest singles anti-Valentine's Day bash", where there will be plenty of opportunities to make that love connection as the booze flows and deejays spin tunes.

The Village Pourhouse has several fun events, but no couples are allowed.

In the 'Black Hearts Party', each single girl will receive a rose with a heart on it, and each single guy will get a number. Find the match and enjoy a free shot - then see what happens.

For heartbroken people, "Ex-orcism" might help them cheer up.

The individuals are asked to bring a pic of their ex, pin it on the dartboard. If they hit bull's-eye, they'll get a free hour of open bar.
